In August 2022, Stellar and Whale Explorer jointly launched the "Metaverse Home" series of competition solicitations. As an important part of the 2022 Beijing International Design Week and the Beijing Urban Architecture Biennale, this event has become a group exploratory event for creators to enter the metaverse. Among more than a hundred carefully created works at home and abroad, each of the four tracks produced a winning award. Finally, after a vote by industry experts, the work "after reflection" by EVA Vision Design Office (En-Visions Associates) won the space award. The winning prize of the Home Track will be cast as a digital collection on the Whale Explorer platform in 2023.
The original concept of "after reflection" comes from the virtual Mars base design "Dome 8" of EVA Visionary Studio's 2020 Metaverse Experiment Project. "Dome 8" is an artificial Mars city with a membrane-shaped ecological dome structure. To create a microclimate suitable for human habitation and prevent the artificial atmosphere from being stripped away by the solar wind with a speed of 250-750 kilometers per second on the surface of Mars, the dome city uses "sustainable energy technology" to realize the magnetic field regeneration design within the urban space.
The core of the work "after reflection" is to explore how human living space can achieve a balanced relationship with natural space. It only takes up a very small part of the "surface area" to derive a living space, without hindering the natural surface and allowing organisms and nature to grow freely. . Human life will be completed in flexible ecological cabins, and each ecological cabin has different proportions (1:1, 1:1000, etc.). It may be a room where humans live, or it may be a A public space (such as a square) that gathers thousands of humans may even be proportioned to accommodate only one eyeball.
